Welcome to Icebound, home of our four Alaskan Malamutes; Chief, Cheyanne, Lakota & Tank.

Our passion for the breed started in 2001 when we acquired our first Alaskan Malamute Chief from Myra & Keith of Kaytoo kennels. It didn't stop there and in 2002 our second Alaskan Malamute Cheyanne also from Kaytoo kennels & half sister to Chief joined us.

Since 2002 we have been showing at open and championship level, gaining numerous placings at both with varying degrees of success.

We have met many friends along the way and in 2002 we met Marina & Paddy of Cedarcreek kennels who allowed us to have our third Alaskan Malamute Lakota. We have gained much knowledge from them including an introduction to the working side and in 2006 Paddy ran Lakota at Aviemore in her first ever rally with her brother PJ. We have continued working our dogs and in 2009 Cheyanne gained her WWPD title and 3 legs towards her WTD title, hopefully to be completed at the end of 2010.

In 2008 after much careful thought, we decided to breed Lakota with Chuck from Cedarcreek kennels to produce our first home bred litter. We kept a boy, Tank, who is an excellent worker and who is proudly taking after his grandsire Devon, Storm Kloud's Uundercover N Blk from the world famous Storm Kloud kennels in the US. This line excels in the working side and Tank has gained his WTD at the age of 18 months, his second leg towards his WPD title and will hopefully gain his WWPD title later in 2010.

Here at Icebound we strive for temperament and type. We strive to produce good working dogs from established working lines and will continue to show our dogs, hoping to build on our successes. I regularly handle my own dogs in the ring and also handle Dallas, Icebound Ice Ice Baby for Cedarcreek and together we are doing very well.
